Sorry every one I have had to put the side up again due to injuries on the training track tonight.
Our Round 14 clash with a hard hitting & skillful Central District at Elizabeth comes on the back of a poor performance against a more desperate & committed West Adelaide in Round 13.
Every coach & player member of the Norwood Senior & Reserves sides have been put on notice this week by the Norwood board to deliver a far more committed effort in the wake of our very poor performances so far this season.
The line in the sand has been drawn; we now sit and wait for the response?
Tim Weatherald & Dean Terlich return from injury whilst Taylor Walker will play his first game in Norwood colors in season 2009 after being omitted from the Crows. Nick Lower also returns from the Power.
Luke Nitschke has been omitted with Kris Massie, Josh Donohue & Nick Jackman all going out of the team with injuries.
Our second’s side will see both South Australian Sate U18 representatives Mark Evans & Matthew Panos come straight into the side after good performances during the National Championships that were completed in Melbourne yesterday.
Roland Ah Chee has been given the weekend off and will return to the playing arena next week against North Adelaide after some very impressive performances for NT.
Our Reserves team now has Shenton, Harding, Panos, Evans, Georgiou, Anderson, Joel Aish and Michael Rander all playing after starting the 2009 season in the U18 competition.
Provided they maintain good performances you will see more U18 boys be given an opportunity over the next 8 weeks. Names like Roberts, Gorringe, Langford & Jonas along with State U16 representative Mitchell Grigg are all putting plenty of pressure on the players at Reserves level to perform.
